Bible Truth Foundations – Part 1 of 3: New Life in Christ

This Bible study guide has been created for the congregation of The Well Shrewsbury Church. It is designed for new believers seeking solid biblical grounding and equally serves as a structured revision resource for those already established in faith.

The guide works through foundational Christian truths one lesson at a time. Rather than covering everything quickly, each lesson goes deep on a single topic so that the truth has time to take root.

Each lesson is structured as follows:

Opening Question — Start here before reading anything else. Answer honestly from your own experience. There is no right or wrong answer.
Key Scripture — The anchor verse for the lesson, displayed in full. Read it slowly before moving on.
Core Truth — The central idea of the lesson in one bold statement. Read it after the scripture and return to it at the end.
Bible Teaching — The biblical truth unpacked clearly, with every key point rooted in scripture.
Callout Boxes — Look out for four types: Note (foundational explanation), Depth (going further), Tip (practical application) and Caution (common misunderstanding to avoid).
Key Discovery Questions — Work through these individually before the group session.
Group Discussion Questions — Designed for open conversation at any level of experience.
Application — Practical ways to live out what the lesson teaches.
Revision Cards — Tap each card to test your recall of the key terms and scriptures from the lesson.

Who this guide is not for

This series is not designed for someone in an immediate pastoral or personal crisis who needs one-to-one care before engaging with group study. It is not a replacement for pastoral support or professional care. The approach throughout is accessible and pastoral rather than academically scholarly. Those seeking critical engagement with the original languages or the history of biblical interpretation should treat these lessons as a starting point and pursue further study from there.
