The central idea of this lesson
Discipleship and evangelism were never meant to rest on a gifted few; every believer’s specific gift has a role to play in building up the church and reaching others.
A striking pattern is visible in the modern church: the vast majority of believers never personally evangelise, leaving outreach to a small minority, often clergy alone.
Ephesians 4:11-12
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
The five-fold ministry gifts exist specifically to equip the saints, ordinary believers, for ministry, not to perform all the ministry themselves.
James 1:22
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
James ties genuine faith to active participation, not passive attendance.

And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."
The body of Christ, by design, is interdependent. Team-based ministry, using teachers, helpers, intercessors and practical servers together, mobilises far more of the body than reliance on a few visible gifts alone.
This lesson closes the series by gathering its whole arc into one picture: a body empowered by the Spirit, joined to one another in real community and tested by real opposition, standing free from guilt and fully accepted in Christ, and now sent out, every member equipped and participating, to disciple the world Christ has commissioned it to reach.

The statistic that a large majority of Christians never personally evangelise is not offered as a condemnation but as a diagnosis: it names precisely the gap this final lesson, and this entire Part, exists to close. Every believer, equipped by the Spirit, gifted specifically, free from guilt, and bearing visible fruit, already has what is needed to disciple someone else using their own story and their own gift.
